greet hôtel Angoulême

This is our third time staying here while driving from Netherlands to San Sebastian and back. The first two times were so great we did it again and this time was even better. The staff is 10/10 amazing. Very patient with my bad French even thought they spoke English perfectly. Claire even spoke a good amount of Dutch. She checked us in and helped us with the menu and was overall a sparkling ray of sunshine. The dinner and drinks were great. The quality of food and presentation far exceed any expectations of a hotel priced this affordably. You can see and taste the effort! This is a classic motel. Clean, hot shower, comfy bed, fabulous staff, close to the highway. It is older but not in a bad way. It has character and is just a great place! I love the hand crafted pillow accents too!

Lovely location, set in it's own secure gardens and on site parking. Asked for a ground floor room and got one only a few feet from the garden and bar/restaurant. Restaurant was closed when we arrived in the evening, but was open for breakfast (which was excellent). Dog friendly and nice gardens to take the dog for a walk. Definitely recommend this hotel for a restful stopover.

Fantastic bar/ restaurant on site and breakfast is definitely worth having. They use all local produce. Dinner was excellent too. It's a lovely space to relax, and a nice garden with chickens and a rabbit. We have stayed here a couple of times for a stopover with our dog. Easy to get into Angouleme old town. Rooms are small but very comfortable. Great for dogs as has a massive field for them to run in. Really friendly and helpful staff. Near the motorway but the double glazing is great you really can't hear anything. Free parking.

Well organised, clean and exactly what I needed. And the hostess was exceptional in helping with anything that I needed. I would highly recommend this hotel for the personal touch. Don’t bother with the bigger hotels, this is what you need at the end of a hard days cycling.

Always love this place which has very friendly and helpful staff. Although we didn't have breakfast this time, we remember it as being rather substantial last time. We will definitely be taking the breakfast next time.
